Last time I checked, doterra is an essential oil company, not a “Mormon company.” doTERRA is an MLM company that focuses on health and wellness through the use of therapeutic-grade essential oils. Unfortunately, many will feel that's the price you pay for your health, but in fact, it's the price you pay for your ascending lines and for maintaining a crunchy pyramid above and below you.

As with all MLMs, the price you pay for the product is very high. Unfortunately for me, while I love the quality of the oils, the real ethics of this company make it difficult for me to buy them again. I went somewhere else and found the same quality and at a much more affordable price. doTERRA is one of the most popular brands selling essential oils and offers an MLM opportunity.

The truth is that I have had several health problems in the past, which were greatly assisted by the use of doTERRA oils. doTERRA practices some questionable (though not inherently problematic) commercial tactics such as MLM and the invention of its own quality assurance certification, but in general it does manufacture good products quality. DOTERRA and Young Living teach massage techniques called Raindrop Massage, Reflexology and other types of massage. This also reiterates my previous point about how distorted you have become with this doTERRA propaganda and how you really are the “closed-minded actor” here.

Unlike its main competitor Young Living, doTERRA does not own or operate its own farms where they can grow the plants from which essential oils are derived. I don't know if this is the case with Doterra, but the immoral nature of the business model is enough to discourage me. According to my Google Maps search, that's 8 miles away from where doTERRA is located: Pleasant Grove, Utah. doTERRA leaders talked about how they felt they needed to give their customers some kind of quality assurance that they are giving us the best possible product.

Because people will buy doterra products, remove the top without damaging it, remove some of the oil and replace it with something else to refill it and make a profit. doTERRA products are also now available through many traditional retail channels, and many wellness advocates travel to events to sell their products. In the past, the FDA criticized doTERRA for claiming that its oils could cure serious diseases such as high cholesterol, Ebola, staph infections and hepatitis C. doTERRA sells essential oils that are more than three times more than the pure French organic oils I use in my practice.

I get oils that are just as good from Plant Therapy and are much better than doterra in every department. You might find it interesting that four of doTERRA's founding professionals were former Young Living employees. Rather, the problem was that doTERRA claimed to be superior when in fact some of these claims were misleading.
