Are doterra oils pure?

When you use a bottle of doterra essential oil, you are using an oil that is pure. There are no contaminants, fillers or adulterations. The essential oil industry had no standards to guarantee purity, so doTERRA created one. doTERRA sources essential oils from all over the world.

We work with committed partners to ensure the best growing conditions and produce the purest and highest quality essential oils. Oddly enough, doTERRA never mentions the fact that its oils are “100% pure essential oils. Nor do they use the marketing language of “100% natural” or “100% therapeutic”. There is no mention of “100% used”.

They call their oils “Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade (CPTG), but as mentioned above, this is their own certification standard. As for healing claims, the FDA does not allow YL and Doterra members to claim that an oil cures and many publications that share the power of essential oils have been dumbfounded by this mandatory regulation. That's not to say that all Young Living and doTERRA representatives aren't qualified to make essential oil recommendations. I'll tell you that about 95% of YL distributors and I imagine doTERRA are also honest people and sincerely want to show people the health value of using oils.

It's just another internal doTERRA way of making its oils stand out in some way in contrast to other essential oil companies and brands. Some of the terminology and labeling that Young Living and doTERRA use to promote their oils are of their own creation. I have never used doTERRA oils and it has been many years since I used Young Living essential oils. Young Living Doterra and another oil company (sorry, I don't know the name of that third one) proved to be 100% pure.

I can't talk much about doTERRA, but YL doesn't label any bottle as organic because they have farms all over the world and organic practices are different in many of them, so labeling becomes a big legal problem. Without an industry-wide acceptable standard for essential oil quality, doTERRA created its own standard to certify that there are no added fillers, synthetic ingredients, or harmful contaminants in doTERRA essential oils that would reduce their effectiveness. Each of these three layers of CPTG testing confirms that doTERRA essential oils are contaminant-free and that there were no unexpected alterations during any stage of production. Any adult who is going to receive health advice from an unqualified person is their own problem, as a company, I cannot speak from personal experience with Doterra, only secondhand, but they are extremely generous to their customers and distributors, as is Young Living.

If you want an oil for your children or a family member or friend, seriously study doTERRA oils. Unfortunately, the link you posted to share the oils you use contains companies that are far less superior to YL and Doterra and if you send those oils for a purity test, I'm afraid the results would be saddened.
